Koloqua Fashion: The Best in Last Week’s Social Media Posts
Just when we thought we’d outdone ourselves in our last Koloqua fashion roundup, you all went and served it hot like Liberian peppeh. Among the many trends we are seeing as temperatures heat up in the diaspora and grow wetter in Liberia, the wax print is in center stage among Liberians around the world. This revelation, although not surprising, unveils the growing trend of more Liberian youth turning to wax lappa prints for their fashion choices.
Beyond the wax print, we were presented with bold, sexy, colorful, and creatively diverse styling from both men and women alike. Likewise, this refreshing twist to style and representation transcended from the garments alone and highlighted the fact that many Liberians are choosing to wear and share designs and brands made and owned by Liberians. This decision, if adopted consistently by more Liberians, could ultimately inspire growth and recognition in and of the budding Liberian fashion industry.
We could say so much more about the fun we are having rounding up all your incredible fashion choices weekly, but we think it’d be best to show you instead. Continue below for a roundup of some of our favorite looks in the past week, gathered from Liberians across our social media feeds.
