It’s just few weekends left in December, but our Decembrees are in no way making it lazy. Monrovia is now jammed packed, with events at all times of the days, with some even coinciding on the same dates and times. Don’t worry though, its possible to do them all, if you properly pace yourself.
On the other hand, another option is to look through all the events listed below, and decide which piques your interest most. As always, we search for these things so you don’t have to oooh peepo!
MTN Liberia Music Awards #MLMA
We’ve been telling you all you needed to know about the first ever MTN Liberia Music Awards, and we hope you all listened and got yourselves ready! This Saturday December 22, we trust you will be live at the Centennial Pavilion at 6:30 PM sharp, and looking sharp!
Live Stage Play: Murder in the Cassava Patch
Murder in the Cassava Patch is a widely recognized novel by one of Liberia’s most prolific Writers, Bai T. Moore, which we featured in our must-read list of Liberian-written novels HERE. The live stage play presentation of the incredible novel will be performed by the B4 Youth Theatre collective. Make sure you are there at Providence Island Friday, December 21, with your $10.00 admission fee when the doors open at 6:00 PM.
The Sangar Bar Mixer
Happy Hour(s) just got so much happier, and not to mention tastier! Get your weekend started off right on Friday December 21, with some sweet and head spinning mixes at Fuzion D’Afrique, in a delicious collaboration with Sangar Rum, which is made right in LIB! You all know how much we love our made in Liberia products, so go and enjoy plenty on our behalf. 🙂
Miss Stella Maris Polytechnic Beauty Pageant
The place to be and take a break from the partying on Friday December 21 at 9:00 PM, is the Stella Maris Polytechnic gymnasium. For all you beauty pageant enthusiasts, you absolutely must be there to witness some of the most beautiful, intelligent, and classic ladies the renowned Stella Maris Polytechnic has to offer compete for the coveted title of Miss SMP.
Bloggers Day Party
The Bloggers Day Party, hosted by the Chichipoly Room, the Liberian Influence, and Diamond Online, is the one event of the season bringing together some of the industry’s major bloggers. Don’t let the name fool you, as it’s not only for bloggers alone, but rather the entire entertainment industry they blog about, and all their followers who enjoy the fries with the shakes 😉
Monsio Couture Fashion Cookout!
Liberia fashion powerhouse, Monsio Couture, is having its first ever Fashion Cookout! The event is the first of its kind in Liberia, and aims to bring together the general public for a fun afternoon of food, drinks, and of course, fashion! Make sure you come prepared to spend, as the fashion house in ELWA will be selling some hot styles from its latest collection of affordable ready-to-wear African designs you can purchase for yourself, or as a Christmas present on Sunday, December 23.
This weekend is already incredibly packed, so we won’t be adding any miscellaneous items to the list. On Sunday evening, we need you all to take a recharge break from it all, and practice some self care by resting, and drinking some water, eat some fruits, and drinking more coconut water. There is plenty more holiday enjoyment waiting for you, so enjoy yourself, but please keep your overall wellness paramount.
