Tourism Around Liberia Commences in Anticipation of the Dry Season

Winter is coming, but here in Liberia, beach season is just getting started.  After six months of the Rainy season, warm weather enthusiasts all across the county simply could not wait any longer to commence the beach season festivities. As a result, many have taken to beautiful locations around the country to soak in the sun long before the official start of the Liberian Dry season.

November 29, the celebration of President William V.S. Tubman’s birthday, marks the unofficial, official start to the months of events and Sunday beach days that have become the culture of Dry season. In this culture, Sundays on the beach are for friends and families, while the other days are for events and other activities. In terms of events, there is a long line up of what is to come this Dry season. The party planners aren’t playing, my pipo, so keep tuned here to the Koloqua Dialogues for tourism tips, and information that’ll help you enjoy the season.

In the meantime, enjoy this gallery of Liberians starting off the Dry season the best way we know how – through enjoyment.  Winter is coming, my pipo, but whether it’s a cold one in the West, or a steamy one in Liberia, is completely up to you.

I want to go in winter to where the ocean, the sea and the sun are super.
